History
While being a young company in the web and media field we have a couple of years on our neck. We can’t help it but to feel a bit old as well. Despite our young company age, we have seen competitors coming and going, trends changing and bubbles bursting.
XLD Studios was founded in end of 2004 by company President and CEO, Erik Bernskiold. At the time, Erik was running a popular fan site for a movie and book series and founded a design business to mainly help all the other fan sites with terrible websites. We gained clients pretty quickly and at the end of 2005 after our first year in business we had a good number of returning clients from the fan site field.
It wasn’t until the late 2006 with the closing of the fan site Erik had been running that the business really took off. We expanded our services to include web hosting as well to set the goal to provide a full environment and cycle, from design to the finished product all under one roof.
We were beginning to see a lot of requests for different types of media as well and with that came the expansion of XLD Studios to include our present offered services, web design, web development, media design and web hosting. Now late 2007 and our client base is building strongly.
In mid-2008 we were getting a steady flow of clients and projects. Not only with design but also with web hosting. We are proud to announce the addition of our second server to cope with the growth of the services success.
At the end of 2008 we could proudly conclude a good financial year despite the rough financial world in general. Also unveiled in the new years was an entre redesign of the XLD Studios website.
